At the heart of this shop is a commitment to thoughtful low impact creation and packaging. Every order is packed using compostable, recyclable, and/or reused materials. Reducing waste matters just as much as whats inside the package! To avoid contributing to unnecessary production some packaging materials may be repurposed or reused. This can include previously used boxes, padding, or wrapping that is in good condition. Choosing to reuse helps keep perfectly usable materials out of landfills and reduces environmental impact. From time to time your order may also include a small complimentary freebie! These items are thoughtfully sourced and may include things like ethically harvested shells or nature found pieces. Some are thrifted, secondhand trinkets, or repurposed items that have been given a second life and are being shared to prevent waste. While every effort is made to minimize plastic use some repurposed or gifted items may contain plastic. These are never newly sourced for packaging purposes, but intentionally reused to extend their lifecycle and reduce unnecessary disposal in the case it may bring someone joy. Jewelry Care ♡

Handmade jewelry is one of a kind. Please handle with care to keep it looking its best:

•Avoid moisture & chemicals: Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, or applying perfume/lotions. This helps preserve metals and gemstones.

•Remove before sleeping: Sleeping in jewelry can loosen settings or damage delicate pieces.

•Patina & polishing: Natural darkening (patina) may occur on copper, brass, and sterling silver- this adds character! Gently polish with the included cloth to restore shine. Stainless steel and gold-filled pieces are water safe and tarnish resistant, but occasional polishing helps maintain brilliance.

•Imperfections are part of handmade charm: Slight scratches, scuffs, or darkening is normal and not eligible for refunds or returns.

At Earth in Echo, each piece is handmade with love and care. Because of this (and to reduce our carbon footprint) all sales are final. Please read the details below before purchasing.

💎 One-of-a-Kind Items

• Each item is unique! Slight variations in color, sizing (1–3in), tiedye, patchwork, or hand dyed/stamped fabrics are part of the charm of each treasures handmade nature. No item can be exactly replicated. Color/fit are not grounds for returns/ refunds/ exchanges at this time. 

• Imperfections (like loose threads, subtle fading, color variations, holes smaller than a dime, fabric transparency and/or texture, item arriving with colors not shown in product photos) are normal and not considered flaws. Please remember my crew are human

🚫 Returns & Exchanges

• Returns and exchanges are not accepted, unless you receive the wrong item or an item arrives damaged from production.

• Please contact me within 2 weeks of delivery if this happens. Missing items must be reported within 14 days of delivery

• If tracking says “delivered” but you haven’t received your package please wait an additional 2 days in case it turns up. If it does not, please file a claim with your local post office.

• Returns have a bigger impact than you might think! Each return often involves multiple trips by trucks, planes, or ships, which increases fuel use and greenhouse gas emissions sometimes adding 30% more impact than the original delivery.

• Every piece is thoroughly inspected before shipping. Please handle your handmade clothing with care so it lasts.

• Items damaged by the customer are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.

• U.S. delivery: 3–8 business days

• For lost/damaged packages: please file a claim within 15 days with the postal service used (all parcels are insured).

• For stolen items: please check surrounding security cameras and file a police report (mail theft is a federal crime and is not to be taken lightly).

• Orders can only be canceled before a shipping label is created.

• If returned to me due to an incorrect address, you’ll need to repay shipping to resend.

• A 5% restocking fee + shipping will be deducted from any refund.

• Rare inventory errors may result in partial refunds. If that happens, you’ll be notified and the remaining items will still ship.

All Sales Are Final. In efforts to lessen our carbon footprint- Earth in Echo does not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges. Please read descriptions and policies carefully before purchasing.

Pre-Loved Clothing

Pre loved garments are final sale and cannot be returned.

Handmade & one of a kind

Many items are handmade using recycled silks, repurposed fabrics, patchwork, and hand dyed fabrics (tiedye, block print, etc.). Handmade items cannot be exactly replicated. Variations in color, tone, and pattern placement are part of the beauty of slow fashion and what makes each piece truly one of a kind. Please understand items cannot be 100% exact to product photos, colors not shown in product photos may be present. Please feel free to email me in regards to colors of current batches!

Colors & Photos

Colors may look different in person due to lighting, dye saturation, handmade nature, and/or screen settings. If you’d like a close match for a set, I recommend ordering the pieces together.

Sizing

Descriptions include details on sizing, fabric, and model references. Since I can’t accept returns for fit, I encourage sharing, reselling, or donating pieces that don’t work out.

Flaws & Quality

Handmade items may have small quirks that add to their charm. things like loose threads, pattern/color variations, slight transparency, holes smaller than a dime, or minor fading. These are not considered flaws but a reflection of the handmade process. Every garment is carefully checked before shipping. If something seems off beyond what’s described here please reach out within 24 hours of delivery through the contact form.

Inclusive Sizing

I do my best to stock adjustable, stretchy, and size flexible styles, and add plus size options whenever possible. Most items are one size- As Earth in Echo grows, expanding my size range is a priority. thank you so much for your patience and support🌸

Care Instructions🐚

To keep your Earth in Echo pieces beautiful for years to come, please handle them with care:

•Hand wash: Wash each item separately in cold water, especially for the first few washes, to prevent dyes from transferring.
•Hang to dry: Avoid dryers, as heat can cause fading, shrinking, or wear on delicate stitching.

•Batch washing: Once the water runs clear after a few washes you may wash similar colors together (dark with dark, light with light)

•Why hand wash?: Hand washing helps preserve the dyes, fabric strength, and stitching, protecting the life of your garment.

•What happens if I machine wash?: Clothing may be subject to shrinkage, loosening of threads, wearing of fabric, and/or fading of colors. I highly suggest against machine washing. If you absolutely must- please treat all items as delicate: Sort by color and place items in a mesh bag inside out. Select “delicate” or “hand wash” cycle and proceed with cold water and a mild detergent. Tumble cold on the lowest spinning speed within the mesh bag. Earth in Echo is not responsible for items damaged from machine washing.

 Will I have to pay customs fees or taxes on my order?

🌎 For International Customers

When your parcel arrives to your country it may be subject to customs duties, VAT, GST/HST, or other import taxes charged by your government and/or parcel service. These fees are not included via checkout price or shipping costs and are the responsibility of the buyer. Any duties to be paid will be emailed or texted via the contact information given at checkout from the postal service used. The below information is to be taken lightly as it is subject to change. Please ensure proper research is done before ordering.

By region: Parcels are shipped from the USA

• U.S. Customers:

No additional import fees. Your checkout total is final.

• European Union (EU):

VAT is applied based on your country’s rate. For orders over €150, import duties may also apply. Depending on the order value VAT may be collected at checkout or by customs upon delivery.

• United Kingdom (UK):

VAT (20%) is typically collected at checkout for orders £135 and under.

For orders over £135, VAT and any applicable duties are usually collected by customs before delivery.

• Canada:

Orders shipped from the U.S. follow Canada’s import thresholds:

• Up to $40 CAD: no duties or taxes
• $40–$150 CAD: sales tax (GST/HST/PST) may apply based on your province
• Over $150 CAD: duties and taxes will apply

These charges are determined by Canadian customs and are typically collected upon delivery. Additional carrier or brokerage fees may apply.

• Australia & New Zealand:

GST is typically 10% (Australia) or 15% (New Zealand). For lower value orders, GST is often collected at checkout. higher value orders may incur additional duties and processing fees upon delivery.

• Other Countries:

Import taxes, duties, and thresholds vary by country and are the responsibility of the customer. Please check with your local customs office before ordering.

•Customers are responsible for paying any applicable fees upon delivery.

•Duties are mandatory and non negotiable. Please research your country’s import requirements before ordering.

•Refusal to pay duties fees and/or failure to accept delivery may result in your parcel being returned or destroyed by customs. In these cases, refunds are not guaranteed.

•If a return is approved, a 5% re listing fee plus shipping and/or any duties charges will be deducted from your refund.

•If a delivery is missed and your parcel is returned, reshipping costs are the buyers responsibility. Please ensure you check your tracking info frequently

💌Please keep an eye on your packages tracking information, most international orders require you or someone you trust to be home to fulfill/pay duties upon delivery. In some cases you will be contacted by the postal service through email/phone/or bill in the mail to pay for your duties charge. If the postal service cannot reach you- the parcel will be sent back to me.

 UPS & Other Couriers

For international UPS shipments: unpaid duties are billed back to me as the shipper for the parcel entering your country regardless if you ship the parcel back to me. In such cases, these charges (along with any return shipping) will be deducted from your refund. UPS Customs Guide

What’s the difference between VAT, Duties, and GST/HST?

•VAT (Value Added Tax): Sales tax used in many countries (EU, UK). A percentage of your order value, collected by your government.

•GST/HST (Goods & Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax): Similar to VAT, but used in places like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

I work with skilled artisans around the world to create handmade items. While not fair trade certified, Earth in Echo prioritizes ethical partnerships while honoring traditional techniques passed down through generations. By connecting directly with both makers and fellow small businesses with a passion for ethics; I’m proud to support these artists craft, honor their heritage, support their livelihoods, and share their art with a wider audience. Most designs are crafted in South Asia, Spain, Thailand, Italy, Indonesia, or Turkey and many items are made using natural fibers such as cotton or linen. Some even contain plant based or low impact dyes. In addition to carrying recycled/repurposed items to give fabric new life and keep out of landfills.
